Running In The Rain

I was so excited this morning because I knew that I was going for a long run. It has been a while since I am following the P90X program.

I woke up to rain and wind. I didn't care. I WAS GOING on this run...not matter what!

It felt so great to be out there, I forgot how much I miss it! Had a fantastic run, legs and feet felt great.

TGIF!

So I got my award yesterday for being in the top 3 in my age group for the Yough Trail 10 mile run. It's pretty fucking lame! I waited a month and a half for this? LOL

Did P90X - Kempo X this morning. It's mostly kickboxing, really fun; not quite as intense as the other workouts, which is why is scheduled for recovery week.

Tony makes comments on this DVD that strike home for me. He says "Time keeps rolling on, you keep getting older. You can get BETTER or get all old and crotchety (yes, he really uses that word)but I'm not into it" Well hell I'm not either so I'll keep doing whatever I have to!

LET'S GO PENS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yay, we got a much needed win last night!!!!!! Gotta love my boy Sidney Crosby. Pittsburgh has the most awesome fans in the world. The game was sold out, and 5,000 people showed up to watch the game outside of the Mellon Arena. It was INSANE.
Thank God I'm on a recovery week, these late night games are killing me! Mama needs to her sleep to get up @ 4:45.
Didn't do anything this morning, planning a 3 mile run at lunch.

Battle Scars

Okay, so I am really, really clumsy. Everyone knows this, my husband has accident insurance on me through Aflac because of it. And I was known as Boo-Boo Baby as a child.

So this is the latest injury from my P90X journey last week. I needed heavier bands so I ordered them online. I was so excited to get them! They came Wednesday of last week so I wanted to use them immediately. The door anchor was different, but I figured it would be okay.

Um, well it wasn’t. I had the bands pulled back as far as I could and the door anchor gave. So the bands came flying back at me at what felt like 50 mph, hitting me in the chest. I proceeded to almost expire.

So this is the injury, 7 days later! Cute, huh? I guess I should be glad it didn't hit me in the face, no?

I miss running :(

As some of you know, I am embarking on a new journey for 90 days called P90X. While I love the program and am seeing results, I still miss my running.

But alas, it will have to take a back seat until this 90 days is over. I have completed Week 1 -3 and I am on a lovely recovery week 4! I am still trying to run during the week when the P90X programs aren't so brutal, but it's still not the same.

I do not have energy for a long run on the weekend, and it's also not advised by the P90X trainers. So I am trying for once in my fucking life to listen to what I'm supposed to do, we will see what it gets me!
