Winter Training Sucks.....

So I had 10 miles on tap for this weekend. Lately, I've been all about doing my long run on Saturdays, so I can relax on Sundays. And I only had 3 light beers last night (I do have some control, who knew?) and I got up at 6:45 this morning to head out for my run.

IT.WAS.12.DEGREES. Man was it cold. I wore 2 pairs of running pants, 3 under armour shirts, jacket, gloves and a hat. I absolutely hate when I have to wear a jacket to run! I don't like to feel cramped. But it's done now so it's all good.

Wow, Kelly. 12 degrees is COLD. I whine when I have to run when it's 20. Good job on completing the 10, and your time is amazing.

I did 10 today, too. It took me 2:05, but I finished it.

BTW, I did an ice bath since this was my first double digit mileage run. It was not nearly as bad as I expected. I highly recommend one after your 12 miler.

Good job on the 10 Nena! I am sore...maybe I should have done the ice bath. Definitely on the 12 miler!

I will never try an ice bath myself. Of course, I always said I'd never run a marathon either, and here I am training for number 3.
