Today is a New Day....

Thank God! I had a bad day yesterday. Work has been extremely stressful this week. Then I get home and I get a very nice sympathy card from my Vet's office for Tanner and they enclosed the Rainbow Bridge poem. Of course that gets me sobbing and my husband was looking at me like I need to have men with white coats take me away.

Then my husband drops the bomb on me by saying that FMIL & FFIL are staying until next Friday. My husband will be out of town all next week, so guess who gets stuck with them? Me, of course! Shoot me freaking now!!! So I storm off to bed because I'm so pissed and sleep very restlessly.

Needless to say, I didn't get up to do Yoga X this morning. But I am going to go for a 3 mile run at lunch.

She's back with a vengeance!

No, not me, my FMIL! Ugh. I had to go to a bid opening in bumfuck Egypt last night for work and didn't get home until 9:00. Mind you, I had been up since 4:45 a.m. I hadn't eaten since Noon. But I come home, get the little one to bed because I felt guilty being gone all night.

All I could think and dream about is a hot bubble bath! Finally I get little B to bed, and head for the bathroom to use my new bath bombs and sooth my aching muscles. We only have 1 1/2 bathrooms and the upstairs bath is a tub. And who is in there? None other than FMIL!!!!!!!!!

Hello, you've been home all freaking day and night and you have to wait until I am ready to step into the bath to take a shower?!! I wanted to rip her hair out, for real. Need less to say, I didn't get to bed until 11:00, which for an OP like me, is late.

I got up this morning and did P90X Shoulders and Arms, and Ab Ripper.

The Dreaded Bathing Suit Shopping

I am leaving for the beach in a month, so I figured it was time to start shopping for a new bathing suit before they are all picked over. I was not looking forward to it! After trying on several that made me shudder, I finally found one that was actually really flattering and age-appropriate.

I would have rather eaten dog shit then get up this morning to work out, but I did. And of course it was the dreaded Plyometrics. Goddamn that workout never gets any easier!!

I am also planning on a 3 mile run at lunch....I'm sure I will be pretty much spent after that.

Phase 3 of hell

Well, I'm on my last phase of P90X! I've had some good results so far. I've only lost 5 pounds but I am definitely smaller and tighter, particularly around my stomach, which is my problem area. I'm sure I would have had even better results if I would lay off the beer, but eh. Life without beer would make me very unhappy! LOL

Today will be a triple workout, I did P90X Chest and Back this morning, am going to run 3 miles at lunch and will be doing Ab Ripper after work.

After my 90 days of P90x, I need to start training for the IKEA half marathon. I need to find a way to incorporate P90X and running together to make it work. I think it's possible to do both!

The Day After.....

The day after date night usually means a killer hangover...I'm not too bad today. Just a tad queasy!

We went to downtown Pittsburgh last night, had a nice dinner and went shopping. It was nice to spend some alone time together!

I'm taking a DOR today from exercise, I need to clean my house, wash the car, etc.

5th Anniversary!

Well today is my 5th anniversary to my awesome husband, so we are going on a date tonight! Woo Hoo! I so need a night out...this week has sucked ass.

We've been together for 10 years, and have been married for 5 and he's still the only one I want to boink so I think we're in it for the long haul...LOL. He is definitely my male counterpart. We are *so* much alike it's scary. But it works.

I was so excited to go for a long run today since I am on a recovery week from P90X and haven't had Tony Horton kicking my ass all week. Note the cheesy grin...LOL. The run was hot as hell though, I went a little too late and the sun was beating down on me.

Coping

They say there are 5 Stages of Grief for a pet loss:

Denial - This can't be happening to me/my pet!
Anger - Why me? This isn't fair!
Bargaining - If I could just have more time, find the best cure, do something to change the outcome.
Depression - The grief and sadness can be overwhelming.
Acceptance - My pet is now in a better place or at Rainbow Bridge.

I think I am in the depression phase now, but am doing better. I only cried twice yesterday! LOL It's the little things that get me going, like when I look in the back seat of my car and the blanket we put Tanner on to take him to the vets on Monday is still there, along with his leash.

Then at home, there are 2 dog dishes but only one dog. Then my dumb ass husband forgot to take the trash out yesterday so I have to look at Tanner's dog bed for another week! *sigh*

I managed to run 3 miles on Tuesday and Wednesday. I am on a recovery week from P90X, thank God! This morning I did Kempo X and it was weird doing it with falling over Tanner or not having him bug the crap out of me for attention! My workout wasn't great, but at least I am trying to get back into the groove.
